Familiar on LifeDrive
Submitted by Alex on 2 October, 2006 - 09:46. Linux4PalmI've just made a new binary release that fixes up some of the more annoying issues in OPIE and includes GPE again. In my opinion LifeDrive Linux is now starting to reach a usable-as-a-PDA state for the first time.
Codename: Insomnia
New things in this release:
- Cocoboot instead of Garux
- Standby mode
- All 3 Familiar rootfs images at once, for a change.
- Keypad support in OPIE
- Kernel 2.6.17
- Less touchscreen glitches
- HDD data partition now mounted as /media/hdd
- Swapfile
- Initramfs instead of initrd (more free memory)
DOS on your palm

Veni, vidi, flash it!
Submitted by Farcaller on 10 September, 2006 - 19:09. Palm T|T3With a help from Andrey Ilchuk I've fixed MTD layer, welcome to the T|T3's flashable world
Note 1. Andrey did most of the work. Thanks a lot for your help!
Note 2. Now you can easily brick you palm (something like dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mtdblock0 is enough)
Note 3. Andrey kindly pointed me to JTAG pins location (thanks agian!) on TT3's PCB. So if you have high soldering skills you can fix results of dangerous flashing
Note 4. Wait for new release

TT: Opie booted from MMC card - UPDATE
Submitted by marex on 3 September, 2006 - 13:15. Palm T|T | Palm T|T2 GalleryAfter fixing some DMA related bugs I tried booting Opie. I used same image that I use for z71. It works
It's quite slow cuz of slow mmc card and insufficient memory anyway. It'd be better on TT2 for sure

. Thanx balrog-kun
. So ... I took that stuff and merged it to GaruxNG. It works in a quite different way though - mainly the progress bar.
