TX problems
Submitted by rabidhamper7 on 19 August, 2007 - 18:02. Linux4PalmI got bored of my Palm OS and wanted to try a linux platform on it and I downloaded the TX-Bootbundle. I followed the directions as best as I could and this is the end of the failed linux boot.
" post_module script: not found.
no swap specified.
checking rootfs [/media/mmc1/opie-image-v0.8.4-rc3-palmtx.rootfs.ext2]
mounting rootfs: not a file or a block device.
failed!
could not mount root fs: init failed!
please, reset, check your configuration and retry"
does any know how to fix this problem or who can point me in the right direction?

No rootfs was found
Submitted by egrueda on 9 August, 2007 - 18:44. Linux4PalmHelp guys, I just can make it
I've followed all steps in my treo650, but when booting Linux, I get the attached error and can't go on.
I'm using a 1Gb-fat16 SD card. It only has a few files:
- zImage (from zImage-2.6.21-hnd3-palmt650-20070805104504)
- initrd.gz (from initramfs-rootfs-menu-0.1.gz)
- opie.rootfs.ext2 (from Angstrom-opie-image-glibc-test-20070805-palmt650.rootfs.ext2.gz)
Don't know what I'm doing wrong, maybe the initrd?
If you have any clues, please, let me know
Thanks
I can run Linux on my te2
Submitted by Juanito on 7 August, 2007 - 23:28. Linux4PalmHI!, I have been like three weeks with this, But i think i will never get it. I cannot run linux on my te2. I saw the instructions on the page http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/PalmTungstenE2HowTo and they said:
1.- download http://nerdfeliz.com/palmte2/garux/garux-20060401.prc (I did it, and istall it in my handheld)
2.-download http://nerdfeliz.com/palmte2/kernel/zImage.20060421
(i did it)
3.-put zImage.20060421 on root directory of card as zImage
(I did it)
install garux-20060401.prc to Palm(or put to /PALM/Launcher on card) (I did it)
4.-create rootfs on second partition of SD (see below)

QEMU Emulation ARM
Submitted by dubb on 7 August, 2007 - 19:11. Linux4PalmI was poking around H&D and found a thread on how to emulate linux on a Tre 650 ARM device.
http://hackndev.com/node/816
I tried to follow it as best as I could and I couldnt seem to correctly emulate linux.
on the command line I typed:
C:\qemu>qemu-system-arm -M palmt650 -kernel zImage \-sd AngstromOPIE_t650-v01.rootfs.ext2 \ -append "root=/dev/mmcblk0 psplash=false"
qemu: could not open hard disk image '\'
so then I messed around and I tried this
C:\qemu>qemu-system-arm -M palmt680 -kernel zImage \ -snapshot AngstromOPIE_t650-v01.ext2 -append "root=/dev/hda psplash=false"
treo 650 - after opie boots nothing happens
Submitted by sakiv on 6 August, 2007 - 00:03. Linux4PalmHi
I installed an initrd.gz from here.
I built my own rootfs using OpenEmbedded and built my own kernel with palmt650_defconfig. I loaded all these 3 onto the SD card. I read somewhere that linux.boot.cfg was required. I could not find it.
Everything booted fine, and the "Welcome to Opie" screen came up. It said "Tap anywhere on the screen to continue". This did not work.
So I recompiled the kernel with all the touch screen drivers built in and yet nothing happens when I tap on the "Welcome to Opie" screen.
Any help will be appreciated.
