I've managed to get The Zire boot a old GPE image from the Lifedrive off a mmc card, but it freezes on the boot screen.
Also, I've just acquired a broken Zire 31, and swapped the screen with mine.

Z31: Don't cha wish your zire was hot like this ?

Phire has recently added MMC and LCD backlight support. Still, there are some deficiencies, but overall results are impressive. Soon Z31 will become pretty hot thingy, don't cha wish it ?
